Project Concept

A Hugo-built blog — twelve posts, categories, and tags, with pagination.

What the Interface Shows

The homepage, the full posts listing, a single post detail page, and the categories page.

My Role and Decisions

I found the same fixed-base-URL issue here that I’d found on the company website — and applied the same fix: removing the localhost override and relying on the relative URLs already enabled in Hugo’s configuration. I verified the fix worked on a non-default port (8081) rather than assuming it would behave the same as the previous project.

Technical Aspects

Hugo, content split across posts/categories/tags, and custom shortcodes for recurring content elements.

Project Value in the Portfolio

Demonstrates applying a successful technical fix to a second project using the same generator, with independent verification rather than assuming the result.
