Project Concept

A demo of an e-commerce administration dashboard interface — an overview dashboard, product/order/user management, and add-item forms. A pure display interface with no backend or database — all data is hardcoded, and forms don’t submit anywhere.

What the Interface Shows

The dashboard overview with summaries and a sales chart, the products page, an orders page with five genuinely varied transactions, the users page, and an add-product form.

My Role and Decisions

During inspection, I noticed the users table repeats the exact same data across all five rows (same name, same example@example.com email, same numbers) — and the same for the products table. Rather than silently rewriting demo data during a Docker-packaging task, I documented it as an open data-quality observation and kept the scope explicit. When it came to final screenshots, I chose to recapture them from the actual Docker image rather than relying on older local dev-server captures — so what’s shown is exactly what any visitor sees when they run the published image.

Technical Aspects

Webpack 5 multipage architecture (not React), Sass, and Chart.js for a chart that generates new random data on interaction. A lightweight Docker image (nginx only, no application server) since the entire interface is static.

Project Value in the Portfolio

This project demonstrates documentation honesty — reporting a data-quality issue instead of hiding it, and respecting task-scope boundaries (packaging, not content editing).
